WHAT IS IT LIKE TO WORK TOGETHER?
At Cultivated Departures we like to start by getting to know you and what makes travel special for you. Where have you traveled in the past? What have been your favorite trips and why? From there we take what we know about you and combine that with our expertise and partnerships to craft a custom itinerary perfect for you. Once the itinerary is finalized, we will work to confirm all bookings and details so you don't need to worry about a thing. And when you are on your trip, we will keep an eye on everything and be available should any unforeseen things arise.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH A TRAVEL ADVISOR?
A Cultivated Departures travel advisor elevates every trip. Just as you might use a financial planner or an interior designer, it makes sense to entrust your most valuable asset – your time – to an experienced travel advisor. We use our experience to help you identify the perfect destination, accommodations, and tour offerings while providing lots of expert tips. Our incredible network of partnerships and suppliers also provide many VIP perks such as upgrades, local amenities, and vouchers for special experiences. And best of all - you can enjoy your travel experience knowing all of the details are completely taken care of.
DO YOU CHARGE A FEE?
Planning the perfect itinerary takes a lot of time, research, and expertise. This is especially true during the time we are in where travel restrictions, local regulations, and personal situations are constantly changing. For this reason, we charge a modest fee for all trips that varies based on the length and complexity of the trip. This generally runs between $249 and $499. For group trips with 6 or more friends we charge $99 per person since these trips require a higher degree of coordination among lots of people. It is our experience that clients see a tremendous amount of value in the insights and experience we bring (not to mention the many value-added amenities and upgrades we can provide!) making the small fee a worthwhile investment in a customized and stress-free travel experience.
WHAT SETS CULTIVATED DEPARTURES APART FROM OTHER TRAVEL AGENTS?
Cultivated Departures is not your run of the mill travel agency. While we are able to help with general hotel bookings or all-inclusive packages, our specialty is in creating unique and customized itineraries that allow you to truly get to know a destination by connecting you to local brands and tastemakers to eat the best food, experience the most incredible design, and discover things you can't learn through a Google search or a packaged tour.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TRAVELING DURING COVID?
The travel industry has changed a lot since the COVID-19 pandemic started in early 2020. And while travel definitely looks and feels different, there are lots of options for safe, low-risk traveling during this time. Some options include different locations that are driving distance and/or open to US travelers, new precautions on airplanes and at properties, and lots of VERY flexible cancellation policies. Reach out and we can help plan the perfect trip that will fit your needs during this unique time!
